My philosophy for working with teacher candidates:
I feel honored to be guiding the next generation of great teachers. Our teacher candidates bring enthusiasm and an earnest desire to help students reach their full potential. I enjoy working with candidates in their classrooms as they see how educational theory is put into practice and guiding veteran teachers as they mentor their future colleagues.

My philosophy for working with teacher candidates:
The professional year is about pre-service teachers finding their teacher groove, with which they navigate a complex set of expectations and contexts to significantly impact children's learning. I'm there to walk alongside candidates during this year to provide and then gradually remove the scaffolds as they assume the responsibilities of an educator.

My philosophy for working with teacher candidates:
Working with teacher candidates in field-based settings is the best part of my job. I believe in a social constructivist conception of teaching and learning where we (mentor teachers, university faculty, teacher candidates) build communities of inquiry and engage in the co-construction of knowledge and professional practice so that p-12 learners are the ultimate beneficiaries... today's learners along with all of our future learners.

My philosophy for working with teacher candidates:
I want to be there to support and guide teacher candidates so they can be competent, compassionate, and reflective. However, I also want to be there when they struggle and fail so we can work through it together and come out the other side wiser and more thoughtful about working with children.

My philosophy for working with teacher candidates:
I am relentless about putting students first! In my position as a University Liaison, this means that my highest priority is the betterment of our P-12 learners in the classroom. We as Liaisons have the honor of preparing the next generation of teachers, and I take that responsibility very seriously. As such, my support of our teacher candidates is focused on how they can identify the needs of P-12 students, prepare cohesive and effective instruction, and deliver that instruction within a classroom environment of respect for one another and respect for learning. We cannot settle for "good enough" when it comes to children; great should be the standard, with sights set on extraordinary!

My philosophy for working with teacher candidates:
Learning to teach science in secondary settings is a meaningful, engaging, and collaborative experience for the teacher candidate and their supporting mentor and liaison. Through constant practice and reflection, the key players in this support team work to provide high quality instructional environments for secondary students, where hands-on minds-on learning is the norm.

My philosophy for working with teacher candidates:
