Recognizing Effective Special Education Teachers (RESET)

The RESET project is funded by the U.S. Department of Education Institute for Education Sciences (IES).  This purpose of this project is to develop a special education teacher observation evaluation system that:

  • focuses on evidence-based practices (EBP) for students with high incidence (HI) disabilities
  • provides actionable, direct feedback to special education teachers
  • will link to outcomes for students with disabilities

Our aim is to create a teacher evaluation instrument that addresses the learning needs of the students with whom and the contexts within which special education teachers work.
