Eligible School Districts

Teachers from more than 50 school districts eligible for Celebration of Teaching— Mentors of the Year Awards

Through the Celebration of Teaching—Mentors of the Year Awards program, Boise State’s College of Education recognizes excellent teachers/counselors in southwest Idaho public schools who guide, support and encourage fellow educators in their pursuit of effective teaching/counseling and professional growth.

Educators, school administrators, university supervisors, and pre-service teachers from the more than 50 public school districts in southwest Idaho may make nominations. These school districts are in Regions 3 and 4 as defined by the Idaho State Department of Education. The department places school districts in one of six geographical regions in the state. These regions follow school district boundaries rather than county boundary lines.

Teachers/counselors may be nominated from any public school* in or affiliated with these school districts:

* Teachers/counselors in public charter schools and public LEAs (local education agency schools) affiliated with these districts are also eligible for nomination.
