Mr. Fischer received a B.S. degree in Physics and Philosophy in 1992 from the University of Oregon. He completed his M.A. in English at Boise State University in 1998 and is currently working towards a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Biomechanics.

Mr. Fischer began his teaching career with the Boise State University English Department in 1996 where he taught E 101 and E 102 and he started teaching lower division math courses in the Department of Mathematics in 1998. Since 1997 he has worked as an Educational Specialist with the Student Success Program.

In terms of hobbies and interests he enjoys attempting to play jazz and classical guitar, going for hikes and bicycle rides, faceting gemstones, reading bizarre science fiction stories, traveling to new places, learning foreign languages, and of course -- eating good food!
