Learning for Tomorrow . . . Teaching for Today

Employment

One of the greatest concerns for the graduates from the teacher educations programs at BSU is their preparation for and ability to secure desired employment after receiving teacher certification. To assist you in this endeavor, the following resources are available.

Pre-employment Seminar – Each semester school administrators and placement officers are invited to campus to provide information and answer questions concerning employment opportunities.

Career Planning and Placement Center

Career Planning and Placement Center – Students are encouraged to visit the Career Center and open their placement file after attending the Pre-employment Seminar. The Career Center is also the source for most of the job openings in the Pacific Northwest.

Resume and Interview Tips

Local School District Websites

Local school districts maintain websites, which contain school district demographics as well as employment and other information. It is highly recommended that you become very familiar with a school district before making application and going for an interview.

Local Agency Websites for Early Childhood Studies

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare's Infant Toddler Program, works closely with early childhood educators.  Their website will provide you with up-to-date information on Early Childhood activities in the state.
