Certification

Upon completion of the Boise State University programs in teacher education, candidates are eligible for Idaho teacher certification in the following areas:

• Standard Elementary Certificate

• Standard Secondary Certificate

• Blended Early Childhood/Early Childhood Special Education Certificate (Birth-Grade 3)

• Exceptional Child Certificate and Endorsements

To obtain a teaching certificate in the State of Idaho (or any other state), you must apply for one. If you are applying for certification through Boise State University, you will be required to use our certification packet.  You may pick up a packet in Education Building Room 722.
 

Once all materials are received in the Office of Teacher Education (E722), your application will be reviewed. If the application is complete, our office will generate and forward an Institutional Recommendation, along with your materials, to the Idaho Department of Education.
