Professional Year Assessments

Candidates are formally assessed three times during their professional year using the Professional Year- Intern Assessment. Supervisors and mentor teachers use the evidence provided (work samples, observations, conferences), the rubric, and their professional judgment to complete the assessment. Elementary candidates are assessed once during Professional Year A and twice during their Student Teaching Semester. Secondary candidates are assessed once during Block II and twice during Block III, once midway through the experience and again at the end.
