     ABC Teach

Site containing thousands of ideas, units, materials, etc. on virtually every academic subject. Written for the classroom teacher in mind, but also excellent for parents, school psychologists, and other professionals looking for ideas to engage learners.  http://abcteach.com

 

        The Access Center

A national technical assistance (TA) center funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs.  Our mission is to improve educational outcomes for elementary and middle school students with disabilities.         All Kinds of Minds

Founded in 1995, All Kinds of Minds is a private non-profit Institute, affiliated with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, that offers a powerful system of programs for helping kids succeed. Our programs have been developed by Dr. Mel Levine and his colleagues based on scientific research and over twenty-five years of clinical experience.         American Educational Research Association

        American Psychological Association

        American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

        Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development

The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development is a unique international, nonprofit, nonpartisan association of professional educators whose jobs cross all grade levels and subject areas. http://www.ascd.org

 

        Classroom Applications of Current Brain Research

        Functional Behavioral Assessment: Center for Effective Collaboration and Practice

        Center for Applied Special Technology (CAST)

        Circle of Inclusion

The Circle of Inclusion Web Site is for early childhood service providers and families of young children.         Council for Exceptional Children (CEC)

The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted. CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice.  http://www.cec.sped.org/

 

        DIBELS- Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills

The Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) are a set of standardized, individually administered measures of early literacy development. They are designed to be short (one minute) fluency measures used to regularly monitor the development of pre-reading and early reading skills.  The measures were developed upon the essential early literacy domains discussed in both the National Reading Panel (2000) and National Research Council (1998) reports to assess student development of phonological awareness, alphabetic understanding, and automaticity and fluency.  http://dibels.uoregon.edu/

        Idaho Center on Disabilities and Human Development

Center on Disabilities and Human Development (CDHD), Idaho’s University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) . There are over 60 UCEDDs throughout the U.S. and its territories; each one associated with a university or college. Each UCEDD reflects the character of its host institution and home state. However, all UCEDDs strive, through education, outreach, research, and service to accomplish a shared vision that foresees a nation in which all Americans, including Americans with disabilities, participate fully in their communities.

The IDEA Partnership is dedicated to improving outcomes for students and youth with disabilities by joining state agencies and stakeholders through shared work and learning. The Topics Database section contains information on a variety of topics and related issues regarding the implementation of NCLB, IDEA and other legislation.         National Center on Secondary Education and Transition (NCSET)

NCSET was established to create opportunities for youth with disabilities to achieve successful futures. NCSET provides technical assistance and disseminates information focused on four major areas of national significance for youth with disabilities and their families.  Headquartered at the Institute on Community Integration, University of Minnesota, NCSET is a partnership of six major organizations, and is funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs, beginning in October 2000 – ending 2006.  Moved to NSTTAC. http://www.ncset.org/


      
National Center on Student Progress Monitoring

To meet the challenges of implementing effective progress monitoring, the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) has funded the National Center on Student Progress Monitoring. Housed at the American Institutes for Research, and working in conjunction with researchers from Vanderbilt University, we are a national technical assistance and dissemination center dedicated to the implementation of scientifically based student progress monitoring.  http://www.studentprogress.org/

 

       National Secondary Transition Technical Assistance Center (NSTTAC) is a national Technical Assistance and Dissemination center funded from January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2010 by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs.         National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities
