Dr.
Johnson has been working in the field of special education for 13 years. She
started as a special education teacher in Washington and Arizona, then earned
her Doctorate of Education from the University of Washington, Seattle in 1999.
Since then, she has been involved in numerous policy and research efforts at the
state and national levels including accountability for students with
disabilities in high stakes assessments systems, Response-to-Intervention and
the identification of students with learning disabilities.
