Introducing Chapter 2
Exploring Idaho's Landscape
Student Page
Why should we study Idaho's land? Because there are so many kinds, all in one state. Idaho's land is high or low, flat or hilly, hot or cold, and dry or wet. It is up in the mountains or down in the valleys. Some places get lots of water, while others are too dry to grow crops. Some spots may get ten feet of snow in winters, and others get almost none. Idaho's many kinds of land are truly interesting.
This chapter contains five Activity Modules that will help you get acquainted with Idaho landscape. Try them. You can have a lot of fun!
