Welcome to the Idaho Compass.
Here is your Internet Idaho history and geography web site, filled full of exciting and interesting activities for kids and teachers.
Those of you who have used this web site in the past will notice some important changes. Idaho history has become part of the Idaho Compass. History materials and activities have their own separate sections in both "Faculty Room" and "Kids' Compass."
The sign post on the Kids' Compass home page gives clues for what is in store for kids. In the Faculty Room, you will find suggestions for using many of those activities and ideas in your classroom.
The menu on the "Notes" pad above will guide you to interesting and useful resources. We will be adding material to these pages, so keep checking for new materials, especially "News" and "Seasonal Ideas."
Don't overlook the "Teacher Talk" page. This is where you can have conversations, ask questions, offer suggestions, complain, ask for advice, or most anything else. We will monitor this page and respond when appropriate.
Check out all of the items on the "Notes" pad. We want The Idaho Compass to be a useful and interesting resource for teachers and students. We need to know whether or not you think it is. If you have suggestions for making it better, don't hesitate to let us know. We will make every effort to be responsive.
