Michael Heikinnen
I am a professor in the Department
of Curriculum, Instruction, and Foundational Studies. I have advanced degrees in Biology and Education from the
University of Idaho and Utah State University.
I started teaching as a science teacher in Wisconsin and have
taught at four universities before coming to Boise State. My areas of interest are: science education, assessing
student achievement, evaluating teacher education programs, and
community ecology. I
teach in the areas of instruction, assessment, and science methods.
Currently I am Boise State’s liaison with the Lake Hazel Middle
School Professional Development School.
