Rogien, Ph.D.
Lawrence R. Rogien (Larry) received his PhD from Indiana
University in 1998. He has served as a classroom teacher for
students in pre-school through graduate level. He has worked as an
administrator, curriculum developer, educational consultant, and
program evaluator. He has post doctoral training in school
psychology and counseling. He scholarship includes contributions
to three manuals for Gifted and Talented Education for the Idaho
State Department of Education, a text book on effective teaching
and classroom (Kyle and Rogien: Opportunities and Options in
Classroom Management, Allyn and Bacon, 2004), and technical
briefs for the National Association of School Psychologists.
Rogien is very active in professional development for teachers and
administrators, and as executive editor of The Researcher, the
peer reviewed journal of the Northern Rocky Mountain Educational
Research Association. He is an annual presenter at Edufest, a
national conference for service providers of gifted and talented
students. His research interests include effective teaching,
gifted and talented education, and professional development.
