Qualitative research, reflective practice and fieldnotes of seven years of pedagogical explorations in a foreign language classroom are presently being formalized in a manuscript entitled:  Why Can’t Johnny [sic] Speak Two Languages?:  Explorations into Pathways to Bilingualism.

Languages:  Intermediate French, Fluent Spanish, Basic Chinese, resident of Colombia, South America for three years; Peru, South America for one year; Guatemala, Central America for three years.  Also studied the complete works of Manuel Rojas of Chile, Eduardo Galeano of Uruguay,  Gabriel Garcia Marquez of Colombia, South America, Augusto Monterroso of Guatemala, Central America  (and translated  some of his works) (all in Spanish).

Travel:  Cultural immersion throughout Latin America including Venezuela, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.  Extensive travel throughout the United States and Quebec, Canada. Guam, Taiwan, France, Israel & Korea.

Born February 18, 1950, married with five bilingual children, excellent health.
