1)     1998. Achieved a Ph.D. in Linguistics at the State University of New York at Buffalo under the supervision of Dr. Robert D. Van Valin, Jr. with a dissertation entitled “The Syntax and Semantics of the Korean Periphrastic Causative Construction”

2)     1993. Achieved a Master’s Degree in Linguistics at the University of Texas at Austin

3)     1983. Achieved a Bachelor’s Degree at Chonbuk National University in Korea
